CBD is one of over 60 compounds found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, the more popular molecule found in marijuana, CBD will not get you "high." Instead, CBD has been described as having anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, antioxidant, antidepressant, anxiolytic.

Backed by scientific evidence and a well-established safety profile, CBD oil is marketed as a natural and effective option for alleviating the symptoms of many conditions. 1. You're taking it wrong

If your CBD oil isn't working, it could be due to bioavailability. Bioavailability is how much of the CBD gets into your bloodstream. It's important to understand this because the amount that gets in your bloodstream will determine whether or not the CBD has any positive effects on you at all.

CBD products that are ingested (edibles) are broken down by your stomach and metabolized by your liver before they have a chance to reach your bloodstream. However, with tinctures, you are absorbing it directly into your bloodstream. So you could get even quicker and more noticeable results than you would from waiting for your body to metabolize it first.

2. Tolerance build-up

Tolerance build-up is a common issue that impacts many people using CBD for the first time. The problem occurs when your body becomes used to and dependent on a certain dose of CBD. As a result, you may find that you need to increase your dosage to see the same level of beneficial results, or you might find that it doesn't work at all anymore.

While this hasn't been scientifically proven, it's generally accepted that if you stop taking CBD oil for a few days, your tolerance will drop off, and the effects should be stronger when you begin taking CBD oil again.

3. Under-dosing

When using CBD oil, it's important to be consistent with your dosage. Different people require different levels of CBD to obtain maximum effects. If you're using a tincture, use the dropper to take a full serving of the tincture at least three times per day.

If using a vape pen, be sure to use the correct dosage listed on the product label, or refer to the instructions included with your pen. When you're unsure about how much CBD you need to dose for your desired effect, start by taking a low dose to see how it's affecting you and gradually increase your dosage

4. Your CBD Isn't High Quality

The quality of your CBD products is critical to their effectiveness. Unfortunately, CBD is not regulated by the FDA, so you have to check the manufacturer's claim to know exactly what you are getting.

If you're taking CBD oil for pain or other health issues, but it isn't helping, then the problem may be with the quality of your CBD.

The hemp oil industry is still in its early stages, despite the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. Some businesses may make false claims to increase profit margins. That is why it is critical to perform thorough research before investing in a new CBD product.
